The nurses at StPJ
Ten years ago my wife Chris died at St PJ on 3rd Feb 2011, my 80th birthday, at about 2.30am (when I was born; very personal!). Later on I was able to assist as a Befriender. On my 90th birthday, I had a new experience, Covid and lockdown. These experiences have shown me how important your work is. Illness is a kind of lockdown. You are the people who enter in to the lives of those suffering and take in comfort and love. Never doubt how important you really are.
